POSTPONED-The Chitlin' Circuit Revue

-

In light of Governor Cooper’s state of emergency declaration and guidance regarding canceling or postponing large gatherings in an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19, this special event from the NC African American Heritage Commission in partnership with the Hayti Heritage Center has been postponed.

While we are disappointed not to be able to offer this experience, the health and safety of our stakeholders and guests, volunteers and staff is always our first priority. This event will be rescheduled, and we will share a new date at a future time.

The Chitlin Circuit was an informal network of venues through the south from the 1930's-1960's that hosted entertainers From Nat King Cole to James Brown. This one night only Live Performance will pay tribute to the hotels, restaurants and clubs in Black Business districts that become “Oasis Spaces” for African Americans.
