Accepting Applicants for NMAAHC StEPs Program

The Smithsonian NMAAHC is accepting its first cohort of applicants for the NMAAHC StEPs Program. are now being accepted. This year-long program, presented in partnership with the American Association of State and Local History (AASLH) will provide small and medium-sized museums, historic sites, and other organizations the in-depth opportunity to assess their policies and practices and benchmark themselves against national museum standards. Participating organizations will ultimately engage in an  assessment, planning, and cooperative learning opportunity focused on mission, governance, and management over the course of one year.
