Coral Motor Court
Coral Motor Court was listed in the Green Book as “Coral Motor Court–US 301, 2 mi South” in Fayetteville. An exact address for the business has not been found.1
Coral Motor Court and Restaurant was located three miles south of Fayetteville, NC. Advertised in the Green Book for about a decade, the business was marketed to those visiting Fayetteville and Fort Bragg (now Fort Liberty). The motor court had steam heat and air conditioning. Coral Motor Court was open as early as 1957. Another motor court, Lawson’s Tourist Court, was advertised at or near this location in the 1930s and 1940s.2
It is not clear when the motor court closed, as it only appears in newspapers and in the city directory in 1957.3
