Webinar: Black Placemaking For the Culture

-

The NC African American Heritage Commission is delighted to partner with the NCGrowth and the Conservation Trust for North Carolina to explore how heritage placemaking can foster African American heritage tourism, and therefore economic development, in Black communities

Creative economies are helping to foster growth in communities across the U.S. Black communities specifically have demonstrated how tapping into “heritage placemaking” can promote and foster economic development. Whether through leveraging historic preservation opportunities, activating historic trail systems, or through collective and creative promotion of local heritage sites, local communities are growing increasingly thoughtful about how to leverage Black heritage as a means towards sustainable growth.

Join NCGrowth, the NC African American Heritage Commission and the Conservation Trust for North Carolina to explore how economically mindful heritage placemaking is taking shape in Black communities across the country.
