Mayflower Grill was listed in the Green Book from 1947 - 1955 as “Mayflower — N. Hillsboro St.” under Restaurants from 1947 - 1955 and as “Mayflower Grill Restaurant — N. Hillsboro St.” from 1956 - 1957. 1
The Mayflower Grill was a restaurant advertised in the Green Book from 1947 - 1957. It was listed in the section for Fayetteville but has not been found in existing city directories nor in The Carolinian, a Raleigh-based African American newspaper that regularly advertised Fayetteville-area businesses. A restaurant named Mayflower Grill was listed at 133 Person Street in the 1958 city directory and was owned by Mrs. Corrie B. Simmons.2
