  •  Multiple businesses were listed at 220 E. Cabarrus Street in the Green Book
    • 1941, 1947: Listed as “Lewis--220 E. Cabarrus” under “Hotels” in Raleigh.1
    • 1948-1951: Listed as “Lewis--220 E. Cabarrus” under “Tailors” in Raleigh. There was not a “Hotels” section for Raleigh in the 1948-1952 editions.2
    • 1952-1955: Listed as “Lewis Hotel---200 Cabarrus Street” under “Hotels” AND listed as “Lewis---220 E. Cabarrus St.” under “Tailors” in Raleigh in the same edition.3
    • 1954: Listed as “De Luxe Hotel, 220 E. Cabarrus St.” under “Hotels” in Raleigh on two lines, bold, and bigger font.4
    • 1955: Listed as “De Luxe Hotel, 220 E. Cabarrus St., Mem. Nationwide Hotel Assn” on three lines, bold, and bigger font.5
    • 1956-1957, 1959-1967: Listed as “DeLuxe Hotel---220 East Cabarrus St.” in Raleigh.6
