Hall’s Taxi was listed in the Green Book from 1950-1953 as “Hall’s” under “Taxi Cabs” in Lillington. No street address was provided.1
Hall’s Taxi was located in Lillington, North Carolina. An advertisement for Hall’s Taxi appeared in The Carolinian in 1949, noting the company’s safety, courtesy, and 24-hour service.2
Unfortunately, our researchers have not uncovered further information about this Green Book business. The 1950 Census for Lillington enumerated several people with the last name “Hall,” including John W. Hall (married to Annie S. Hall) and Romulus Hall (married to Bessie Hall). No one with the last name “Hall” was enumerated as a taxi driver in 1950.3
