Preserving African American History and Culture

The African American Heritage Commission is thrilled to celebrate Black History Month 2018!

This February, Governor Roy Cooper declared February as Black History Month: Preserving African American History and Culture. Thus, we honor those who have worked tirelessly to preserve our state's rich African American history and culture.
